Sadly due to cut backs, from 1 June there will no longer be a number 65 bus stopping at Bourton. If you wish to go to Swindon town centre then you need to call Dial a Ride on 01793 616050 and book a seat. They will collect you from your door on Monday, Wednesday or Friday after 10 am. The bus will return from Swindon at 1.30 pm. If you have a bus pass the trip will be free, otherwise it will cost £5.20 return.
For further details please take a look at the Village Noticeboard or call John Bean on 782735.

Bourton Parish Boundary Walk
Rogation Sunday 10th May 2015
56 people aged from 13mths to 81 years turned up for our 11th walk to beat the bounds of our parish.
9 year old, Summer, was traditionally swung over the water’s edge for luck at the start.
The weather was perfect for walking and very good under foot too.
Wildlife was in abundance and for some of us, the first time this year, the Cuckoo was heard.
The horn was sounded at all four points of the boundary. At the most southerly point Tom and Margaret were waiting for us with refreshments which were greatly appreciated.
We made our way back to the Village Hall for Stuart’s delicious lunch, all participants were presented with badges and pink ribbon to celebrate the birth of HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
Thanks to: Farmers and Landowners. The Bourton Village Hall Committee, Tom and Margaret, Stuart, Marion and Pat for your help in the kitchen and all those who gave raffle prizes. You all contributed to a successful day. Thank you.
